Recently Elena was asked to design a few lampshades and so we figured we should record a short little movie to show them off..It's possibly one of our silliest videos yet and has none of our ladies t-shirts but for some reason we like it and we hope you do too..Leave a comment and let us know what you think..Ole!
P.S. Sharing is caring! Our IT boffins have have got a new Facebook "like" button and Twitter ReTweet button on the top of all our blog posts..Give them a click and make us smile!
We recently went to Spain and whilst there thought it was the perfect opportunity to give our new tote bags a good testing. What better way to test it than let Elena loose in Mercado de Cascorro, one of Madrids oldest markets, and let her fill it up. The video was a fun one to make as we walked around Madrid, taking in the sights and sounds (none of which were too alien to Elena but I loved it)..So, rather than any more text based talk I invite you to just press play and enjoy as the story unfolds...What will Elena buy? Find out now..
Would love to hear what you think about this video so please leave a comment below..Ole..

You are may not be aware that we are trying to get to 5,000 fans on our facebook fanpage - hehe, I hope you've heard about it ;)
Anyway, we are close now, closer than ever before, to 5,000 fans which is really incredible for us. There are only two of us involved with LadyUmbrella ladies t-shirts, myself and Elena, and we are just blown away by the support we have received. Since launching our fanpage in August we have honestly been overwhelmed at the response we have received and we are really humbled and thankful. You guys, the people who read this blog and leave comments on our fanpage etc, are giving us a chance at living our dream and words can't express how thankful we really are...
Even though words can't do our thanks justice and our video skills leave a lot to be deisred we have endeavoured to make a vid to give you thanks and a big thumbs up..
We basked in the sunshine for about 3 hours or so to record it and needless to say I got sunburnt - felt the heat radiating from my arms, ears, neck and face last night. Elena on the other hand though found it chilly at times...Irish skin is just not cut out for the sun I guess..
Anyway, enough of the talk, enjoy our vid and if you can press that great big RT button above - might just help us get to 5,000 fans before my birthday which would result in a partay and a half..
What a manic few days it has been. We decided to give away a free ladies t-shirt because we reached a mind boggling 4,000 fans on our facebook fanpage. To enter into the draw all one had to do was let us know which t-shirt they liked or was their favourite...we didn't expect what would happen then...
People went crazy for the t-shirt..We've never received as many retweets on twitter as we did over the last two days..On top of that tons of people shared it on facebook and in total we got a staggering 189 entries - some great fun comments so thank you all for entering and spreading the word..
Anyway, when we decided to make a movie for the draw which you can see just below..Hope you like it and why not press that glorious retweet button in the top right :) Mad thanks go out to our independent observer, the man behind the Wise Owl, the one and only Skip.
As the video says we have a consolation prize for those who didn't win the t-shirt..For the next 24 hours the coupon code twenty24 will get you 20% off and free shipping so feel free to take full advantage of it in our online t-shirt store...
And, this blog is home the unseen footage, the "rigs" and things that we don't put anywhere else..and here is a gem, an out take from the Big Prize Draw video - Elena going loco - enjoy..
Would love to hear what you think about the video so please leave a comment..stay happy all, ole..
Hello all, it turns out I have an inner scientist that I was not aware of and have conducted another demanding test on our LadyUmbrella ladies t-shirts. You might have seen us when we Tested them in the Sunshine but this time we wanted to see how our t-shirts would hold up on stage...a fortunate sequence of events made this possible..
You may recall we ran a competition a while back and one of the winners is an Irish based musician who goes by the name of EleventyFour. Well, she recently got in touch with us letting us know which tees she wanted and we promptly delivered. She also let us know that she was playing a gig on Friday 15th January in Crawdaddy in Dublin and we figured why not go and conduct a test. Check the video below.
The gig itself was really great. I (Rob) really like music and have played in bands and been a band manager so have a little bit of music knowledge and I thoroughly enjoyed the gig. The fact that EleventyFour was wearing our t-shirt made it all the sweeter (and she even plugged us twice - pretty cool and we are most thinkful). Her music is quirky, chirpy, funny, interesting, lyrically rich and engaging. In the video in the background we have an EleventyFour song called "The Friend Song" playing which is a very nice song, asking the question, what kind of friend are you? You can listen to it here and I beg the question, what kind of friend are you? Leave a comment and let me know...
And, without further ado, the video, recorded and edited superbly by Elena and starring yours truly and EleventyFour..enjoy and leave a comment to let me know what other tests you'd like me to put our LadyUmbrella ladies t-shirts through - I'm all for the experiments now..On a final note, watch this space, watch our facebook fanpage and keep your eyes on our site, we are going to launch in the next week - nice!
Ok so, stay happy, leave a comment and let me know what you think of the video, what type of friend you are, any other t-shirt tests you'd like to see or just let us know that you're looking forward to us launching, hehe, we'd like to hear that too..ole..
P.S. We are going to splash out and get a new super dooper camera, the limitations of our one were found out in the dark setting of Crawdaddy - any suggestions?
Currently working like a nut with my ladies t-shirt business LadyUmbrella...It's a lot of fun and has been quite an adventure so far..Since launching on the 20th of January so many weird and wonderful things have happened it's insane - long may it continue I say...Stay Happy all, ole...Rob
