Extra, extra, read all about it!

The power of Twitter was hammered home to us on Sunday when we were notified about an article mentioning our ladies t-shirts in the Irish Mail on Sunday..

"@sharonmcnally @ladyumbrellaltd No bother! Did you know that you are featured in The Irish Mail On Sunday TV Week?"

Needless to say we legged it to the shop to pick up a copy of the paper and low and behold there we were, listed in an article with 20 style tips. Many thanks to @sharonmcnally for letting us know, much appreciated. We were tip number 7 - "have some fun". There are 20 tips there in total - some quite useful ones as well (needless to say we thing tip 7 is a strong candidate for top tip) - so have a read of the article...any tips you'd like to share with us?

So, for two weekends in a row now we have been mentioned in national newspapers which is astounding. No doubt these are exciting times for us here and really thanks to all who have bought a t-shirt or told a friend about us..Lots more good times aheard and sush, but we're working on the next designs - stay tuned...

LadyUmbrella T-Shirts in EMMA Boutique

A few weeks ago we got lucky, really lucky..A great boutique based in Dublin got in touch with us from twitter and then next thing you know our ladies t-shirts are in the front window of the very trendy EMMA Boutique..

This is really just going to be a short blog post as really the pictures tell it all - our t-shirts are in a cool shop - it doesn't get any better than that really does it? You can see more pictures on our facebook fanpage and sure why not become a fan for more fun and games?

We really can't believe that Away with the Birds is now in a shop window and the set up in EMMA for our t-shirts is just, well, adorable. What do you think? 2010 - The Arrival of LadyUmbrella

Hello LUFANS, this is just a short post to let you all know that we haven't forgotten about launching :) It has been a long time coming but finally we are happy with our ladies t-shirts and on the brink of launching. It has taken about 16 months to get LadyUmbrella to where it is now and we hope that the world will take kindly to our own brand of womens fashion.

Each of our t-shirts are 100% combed cotton and every aspect of them is created by the lady behind LadyUmbrella, Spanish designer, Elena Montes Casado. Everything, from the shape of the t-shirt, the neck label, the designs and our hang tags.

Each of our t-shirts customised hang tags will be signed, dated and numbered by Elena so that each t-shirt is truly unique to you. Not only that but all of our t-shirts will have free shipping worldwide and you can get a 10% discount by joining our facebook fanpage and leaving a comment letting us know which design of ours is your favourite..

The Samples of Life

Well, this is just a quick update more or less to let all you LUFANs (LadyUmbrella fans) know what is going on with us...

We have been busy. Really. So much work has to be done to get a t-shirt company up and running but thankfully we are nearly there. In the last week we have opened up our company bank account (although it is painfully empty..really empty) and are filling out all sorts of forms for the online side of things. Also our shop section is almost finished - I might as well give you a sneaky peaky at how it is going to look - sush now though, for your eyes only...

Ah, and the sample of life...it is our Lion King moment when things have more or less gone full circle..We've received a myriad of envelopes in the last week containing all sorts of sought after jewels..and one of those sought after jewels were our samples. We are very happy with them and with a few slight modifications we're happy for them to go into production - we'll have pictures up soon...The wait, the agonizing wait, for our LadyUmbrella t-shirts to arrive is slowly coming to an end..it feels like we have been just a matter a weeks away from launching on so many occasions but now I really think that is the case...

As I mentioned earlier, another sample of life I'm happy to show you is a screen shot of how our online shop section is going to look...We are really happy with how it has turned out and have to give major thanks to Pawel Witkowski who is the gifted web designer who created our site. I really can't speak highly enough of Pawel and would recommend him to any company out there looking to get a website done. Check out more of his sites at his Web Design Info site.

So, exciting times here at LadyUmbrella. We are approaching the final hurdles for lift off now and really can't wait...until next time, stay happy..
