How I Spent My Birthday - WOW

Oh the life of running an online business...

Yesterday was my birthday and to celebrate it we kicked off The Annual WOW Sale which is a week long sale with 30% off..Week long because Elena celebrates her birthday next Monday and so we'll have the sale running for the duration of the birthday week here in LUHQ...

Anyway, as most of our twitter friends will know I am a bit of a night owl and rarely sleep before 5am and rarely wake before 11am or so. Yesterday I woke with zeal though, not because it was my birthday, but because we were starting our sale..In fact, I got a call from my mother wishing me a happy birthday at about 5.30pm - she asked if I had received the card she sent to me and I honestly didn't know. I was so engrossed in the sale and trying to spread the word I pretty much didn't even check the post or eat or anything really..It was simply a case of waking up and entering "promo-mode"...

Some people might be reading now thinking "wow, that's kinda sad" and I can kind of agree but for me I can't think of a better way of spending my birthday..I've never been one for fanfare really and so I enjoyed spending the day to myself just working away on the web...As the numbers on the clock rolled around towards 11pm I started to relax a bit and marked the birthday with a glass of wine with dinner (yep, no dinner til 11pm yesterday - when in the "trenches" one forgets about food..I had a bowl of cereal at about 2pm which carried me through the day)which was, as always, rather nice...Had a insanely tasty Ravioli with Venison..

And, as for our sale, well, it has started ok..It's become harder for me to be satisfied with sales etc as I want more and more now - not as a result of greed but more a desire to succeed..I think in this online world motivation and "gas in the tank" can fluctuate with peaks and troughs but yesterday, for my birthday there was definitely a peak (and I'm still plateaued and going hard today and will be all week) which filled me zeal..I had started to promote TAWS with a contest last week which stoked my coals for this sale to be our best one yet...And I won't stop til it is..Any other online business owners experiencing anything similar? Hehe, how was your last birthday?

Anyway, that was my birthday and this is my life hehe...If you can tell a friend about our sale or share it on your facebook or tweet the life out of it...If you have a blog why not whip up a short blog post - anything at all would be insanely appreciated...As always, your help is a lot more powerful than all of my man hours so anything you can do is awesome - my ultimate birthday wish...And if you want a t-shirt, I'd suggest now is a good time :) Thanks all & stay happy, ole...

P.S. Sharing is caring! Our IT boffins have have got a new Facebook "like" button and Twitter ReTweet button on the top of all our blog posts..Give them a click and make us smile!
