Our Number One Fan?

Who is our number one fan? Now, there is a question we may have just answered on our recent photo shoot for our new collection of womens clothing which we have finally just released (ole!!)...Big thanks to camerman Darren, make up artist Madonna and model Alison for making the photo shoot possible...This behind the scenes video features typically terrible jokes from yours truly but perhaps answers the question about our biggest fan...Or, are you our number one fan? Let us know :) Ole..

Photo Shoot - Behind the Scenes

Alrighty then, are you ready ready for a platoon of pictures? On Sunday 18th Sept we found ourselves in DStudio to do our photo shoot for our new collection of t-shirts...Behind the camera we had Darren from Life in No Motion, our make up artist was the gifted Madonna and the lovely lady in front of the camera was Alison..We had a lot of fun together doing the shoot and the following or some behind the scene type pictures for your perusal while we frantically select and edit the pictures for our site..

Darren Looks Through A Magazine to see how he wants Alison to contort..

Two cameras at the same time - always challenging for a model..

A few touch ups to make sure everything is as it should be..

See, people were allowed to have a bit of food (as long as they could eat it in 10 mins ;))

I believe the frame came into play at some stage during the day...

A pweddy picture...

I can assure you Alison was fine, she didn't fall from the ladder, was just a misguided idea...

...although when Elena dropped the bucket on her she did yelp a bit ;)

Elena & Alison, still friends at the end...

And, everyone likes a bit of cheese so here is the "Team Pic"

And that's a wrap..We've got a few more fun cheesey pics on facebook which of course I'd highly recommend you check out ;)

For now though, consider yourself warned that the launch of our next collection is just around the corner - we're aiming to have them available early next week...If you jump on our mailing list you'll get a handy e-mail the day they are available so you'll be one of the first people to get them :) So, who wants to get their hands on one of our new designs? If so, which one?

Precious Print Preparation!

It's Wednesday, the sun has been shining and it's all systems go in LUHQ as we're preparing to launch our precious prints..We've been talking about launching prints and adding them to our ladies t-shirts for a while but we're finally almost ready to unleash them to the wanting public - you (we hope)..

Elena has been in over drive all day taking pictures of the prints that we can use for our online shop and gallery. She's now busy editing them down and doing all sorts of funky stuff with Photoshop/Illustrator that my simple mind can't comprehend - she moves that mouse with speed and accuracy I tell ya..

Anyway, we're pretty excited about our prints..There will be regular prints and then we are going to have some extra special enhanced hybrid paint kissed prints..In fact we don't know what to call them yet (we want your suggestions!) but they look sweet..To create these extra special prints Elena paints the colour on in places and only premium designs are used and each print is numbered and signed..Also, there will only be 25 of these hybrid prints made and when they're gone they're gone...Our first hybrid print is called "Daydreamer" inspired by the challenge set to us by Daydreamer Magazine (Pg. 42) which you can see just to the left there...

In total we have 8 prints which we're going to release in a variety of sizes and paper types which we hope you'll find too darn adorable to say no to to :) We haven't nailed down the release date yet so the top tip is to join our mailing list to ensure you don't miss the launch..Once Elena has her editing of the pictures done it'll be time for me to work late into a night and add them all to the shop and the gallery - no telling how long that could take ;)

And, I've been able to successfully plead with Elena to get a sneaky peaky of one of the prints which none of you will have seen yet...This is one of my favourites, simple but striking...What do you think? It's called "Raining Birds" (hallelujah ;))

Not long til we launch our prints - ole!!

P.S. See Elenas new friend in one of pictures above? "Pequeno Blue" is his name (or so I've been told)...

Lights, Cameras, Action...

It may not be the silver screen but it was my first time in front of a camera, 8 hours of shooting, one room, 3 people, 1 bottle of rum, good times and the first ever LadyUmbrella video..

We (me, Elena and Richie - the LadyUmbrella team) figured we wanted to create a nice little video to help let people find out about us and who we are..so, we came up with "How LadyUmbrella comes to Life" - a short little movie about LadyUmbrella..Unfortunately Richie wasn't there as he is in, eh, Norway - many miles away..so myself and Elena persevered and got in front of the camera..

We shot the movie last night on location (the directors house)and well to say we are excited is an understatement. I'm absolutely bubbling with anticipation and just can't wait to see it..sadly, it will take about 2 weeks of editing, the main man, the Latvian Spielberg, Mr. Ivars Burtnieks, has big plans for how it is going to look and we are confident that he will make it look insanely good...so confident we set up the LadyUmbrella YouTube - I'm still just trying to figure it out though, so subscribe and check back..it will become a stockpile for all things digital, moving and LadyUmbrella..I'd love to divulge a lot more about the movie but I can't..all I can do is hope that you'll watch it when the time comes...

What I can do however is show you some pictures..Whilst "on set" (hehe) we took a few, a behind the scenes expose if you will, of us making the video...hope you like them...you can see more of them at the LadyUmbrella Facebook Fanpage and sure, why not become a fan whilst you're there...

And thats it, lights, camera action baby..Ivars - a big thank you to you man, we know it will look incredible...and readers, LUFANS (LadyUmbrella Fans) and general lost surfers don't forget to check out our Compe-tee-tion for a chance to win some LadyUmbrella t-shirts...Take care all..
